Curriculum

PME curriculum development and integration

Our Curriculum section highlights the strategic incorporation of Global Citizenship Education (GCE) into various educational programmes at UCD. This includes comprehensive lecture materials, assignment briefs, and exemplar units of learning designed by PME students to infuse GCE principles across the PME, MSc Education, Maths and Science, and BEd Languages curricula. These resources illustrate innovative approaches to teaching that emphasize sustainable development, inclusive pedagogy, and critical thinking. By integrating GCE into foundational modules and creating new content focused on global issues, the curriculum aims to equip future educators with the knowledge and skills necessary to foster globally aware and socially responsible students.
