Welcome to the PME programme in UCD.
Induction for incoming PME1 students will take place on
Monday 4th September from 2pm to 5pm and on
Thursday 7th of September from 10am to 4pm

Lectures (12 weeks) | 4th and 7th of September – induction 11th September 2023 – 1st December 2023 – official teaching term |
School Mid Term Break | 30th October 2023 – 3rd November 2023 (there will be no PME lectures during this week in lieu of induction week) |

School Mid Term Break School Easter Break | 12th February 2024 – 16th February 2024 25th March 2024 – 5th April 2024 (while these are school breaks, it is term time in UCD so students are required to attend university lectures) |
*Year 2 students will be on Block Placement when schools reopen on 6th January 2024 Year 2 students will return to UCD for Professional Workshops scheduled at the end of Trimester 2 – dates TBC The PME is a professional programme and as such the school placement dates may be outside of the academic calendar date. Therefore, it is very important that student teachers adhere to the start and end date of placement as agreed with their school. It is not acceptable to leave the school placement without notifying the PME programme director @ rachel.farrell@ucd.ie. | |
