Cyberwise Shared Learning Day
The Cyberwise Shared Learning Day was a comprehensive educational event focused on the intersection of cybersecurity and Global Citizenship Education (GCE). Held in April 2024, the day featured a variety of engaging activities, including a Zero
Days Capture the Flag challenge, where participants tackled real-world cyber and GCE issues. The event also included a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) session on the AI in My Life course, which examined the influence of artificial intelligence on societal behaviours and climate change. Participants, comprising of students and educators, presented their reflections and proposed innovative solutions, demonstrating a deep understanding of cybersecurity’s role in achieving broader educational and societal goals. The event successfully combined practical engagement with reflective learning, underscoring the critical importance of cybersecurity in contemporary education.
Challenge Based Learning
The Challenge-Based Learning Day, held in October 2023, immersed students in the critical societal issue of cybersecurity and its connection to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This event aimed to deepen student’s; understanding of cybersecurity’s impact on various aspects of life and its essential role in achieving sustainable development. Through hands-on, collaborative activities, students explored the multifaceted nature of cybersecurity threats and solutions, examining how these intersect with goals such as Quality Education, Industry Innovation and Infrastructure, and Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions. The day fostered critical thinking, problem-solving, and innovation, equipping students with practical strategies to address cybersecurity challenges while contributing to a more secure and sustainable future.
